i dont really know if it's officially country week but with Shania in, i think it is.
btw, i'm a super fan of Shania Twain. Like i've been singing her songs since i was in the fourth grade. hehe. so what? haha, i just wanted to share it. :P sayang walang kumanta ng dont be stupid and from this moment.
well, here's what i thought about the show...
1. LEE - he chose the best song and actually did a very good version. it's like the song's written for him and by him. Super lee fan na ako! hehe. parehas kame ng brother ko na kinabahan during the beginning kasi we both thought na off key siya.
2. SIOBHAN - any man of mine's a tough song but she made it her own. naks, did i just sound like randy? haha. tama ang choice to belt it out. and as per kara, guess who's back... GO SIO!
3. CASEY - construction worker ka pala? hehe. hindi halata. I still love jealous guy more. pero i know you'll be safe this week. kuddos for redeeming yourself.
4. CRYSTAL - i'm not really familiar with that shania song, but your version sounds authentic. hope you get through to the next week.
5. AARON - one of my fave shania hits. not so much flare but it was ok. you sound like bryan adams.
6. BIG MIKE - i dont know but your song kinda ticked me out. i was hoping you'd sing something upbeat. for me you're in trouble...
i hope i get it right still...
hehe.

automated is it?
for the longest time, we've been overly brushed with the issues clouding the attempt to automate the counting for this elections. Big step as it is, but i personally think that it's about time.
with such an advancement, we could only hope for and see the best it brings. however, right now, that is not the case, neither has it been thought of. As i've observed, all that's been given recognition is it's possible failures, and no more.
come on, i call upon all Filipinos who think that, what's with the attitude? i know our government's not clothed with the highest trusty image, but then, i reckon, this is what we need.
and now, an idea of a simultaneous "mano-mano" counting? come on! borrowing from my fave and most loved daffy duck, "you're despicable!"
if we want change, we have to work for it and believe in it. risk is inevitable and that we should take head on.
so now what?
if it fails? then let's work to remedy it. not everything works you know.
and if it succeeds? then we can all move on and live for the better.
automated is it? big YES. just the way as it should be.

vivere vs fix
okay, since the last time my hair was murdered (at fix), i was so in the look for another place to get my hair done. And as i was cruising along the mall i frequent, i saw this new salon, vivere. by the looks of it, i adjudged it instantly as maybe something better than fix.
Well, today, i got the chance of trying out the vivere experience. unfortunately, it ended on the wrong note. it was not better, neither was it close to par, to digest my experience here's how it went. plus a comparison with my fix experience
VIVERE - megamall VS FIX - podium
1. PLACE
Vivere
+ nice theme, black and white
+ wifi
- it's too cramped. too small. urgh.
- aircon's not working too well
Fix
+ nice ambiance
+ spacious
+ well kept and very organized
+ very homey
- no wifi
2. PEOPLE
Vivere
+ they are visually pleasing. i mean, in this business, physicality counts. you'd never want a Quasimodo-look-alike do your hair. haha. i prefer someone dreamy! lol
+ the stylist knows what he does. for sure.
- they're too loud. seemed like i was in a flea market
- everyone's in a rush
- the stylist, point blank reprimanded the assistant in a very humiliating way. i feel for that guy, although it's really his fault.
- the receptionist had no charisma at all and damn she's so not receptionist material
Fix
+ everyone's accommodating and i couldn't ask for more
+ all +'s - they get to know you, make kwento and all.
+ they look good.
3. SERVICE
Vivere
+ did a great job in my hair.
+ i loved the automatic shampoo chair. :)
- the TOWELS!!! omg, they're so not new! like they've used it na before they used it on me. yuck! it was supposed to be white, but it was not and it was stained!!!
- there was this guy customer who dressed better than me, perhaps looked better na din, who was treated differently. he was served coffee and was treated like a king. i'm sure he's not a celebrity. it's just not right. whatever happened to equality! lol.
- payment via card is not available. good thing i had cash with me. :)
- too pricey for the unsatisfactory service
Fix
+ fresh clean towels
+ card payment's always functional
+ i love how they shampooed and massaged my head
+ everything's really cool and okay
+ cheaper than vivere
- like for the last 7 times, only 1 hairdo didn't work for me, and that was the last. poor judgment by the stylist.
So what's my point?
Like it's so obvious. I'm never going back to vivere. once, at this instance, is blatantly enough!
As for fix, i welcome myself back! hehe
