A match made in heaven, the Finals of Australian Open 09, Federer vs. Nadal. Roger Federer seeking to win his 14th grandslam to tie Pete Sampras', and become the greatest player ever, while Rafael Nadal wanting to claim his first hard court grandslam trophy and prove that he is indeed no. 1.
These two archrivals has already proven their worth in the field of tennis. Rafa being the embodiment of sheer power play while Roger being the epitome of the classic game with grace, elegance and wit.

Apparently, last night, the Gods were on Rafa's side. He beat FedEx 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2.
It was a great match, just like their Wimbledon bout last season, every point was hard earned and well fought. Roger had his chances last night, unfortunately, Rafa never let go.
Last night's closing was so emotional that even I was also in tears. I feel for the great Federer. His tears spell his want to win his 14th grandslam, his desire to beat Nadal, his yearning to be Number 1 again.
Being the die hard FedEx fan that I am, I can't help but think why he can't conquer and defeat Nadal. Age is not a factor, at 27, he's at the peak of his career and he's in good shape. It's not that Rafa is better, Roger has won over Nadal before, and he can do it again, - all he has to do is believe.
Clearly, Rafa is the favorite and the best player at the moment, but no matter what, I'm sticking to my FedEx, my Aussie Open Champion.
Go Roger! Take Roland Garros this season!
