THE HUNGER GAMES: Don't let the show run you, RUN the show yourself!

"The Hunger Games". For the past few days, the movie's really being talked about BIG TIME! i've already heard about it and almost everybody said that it's really a must see. Curious as I was, I ended up watching it sooner than I thought.

My thoughts..

- the first part really had poor cinematography. whatever happened to stable cameras??? i'm not privy to the vision and idea of the director/cinematographer but the camera movement made me really nauseous. Thank God it ended before i turned the popcorn bag into a barf bag.

- i'm really not a fan of gory and barbaric films, so this movie was just too tough for me. 2 hours of barbarism is just too much. talk about "the reaping" and creating a TV show that caters the want of man to kill one another. Survival may be the concept of the show but then again what's inappropriate won't suffice. Come on, CIVILIZATION need not to be impressed by "amazonic" antics just to be entertained.

- the movie shows it's viewers how to play the showbiz game RIGHT, like big brother and survivor. Don't let the show run you, RUN the show yourself! I'm sure Katniss and Peeta knew what to do, and they did it very well. The movie defines SHOWBIZ LIFE in a gross and obnoxious manner.

- the movie's filled with lady gaga/nicki minaj/prince outfits! Drag-a-roo. I don't like it but I don't hate it either. But I'm so in awe of the nice outfits of Katniss a.k.a. the girl on fire.

MY SCORE: 8 out of 10. :)

With all that, I have to say that I'm so thankful that I'm over 18. If not, and heaven forbid, should I get chosen to play that game, I won't let anyone kill me, I'd kill myself right away! :)
